What Causes Tinnitus While On Zoloft?

After 20 or so years of taking Zoloft, I decided I would like to try life without it. It s been about 3 weeks. I have a slight ringing in my ears and occasional slight flashes in my brain (that feel like small electrical flashes). How long will these last as a result of some sort of withdrawal from the medication? I also feel a bit muddle-headed.

Hello,

The symptoms that you are experiencing are due to the withdrawal of Zoloft. It will take almost 3 weeks for this withdrawal effects to go. The symptoms gradually fade during this time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
