What Causes Tinnitus?

I have had a ringing in my left ear for 3 days since I popped it when blowing it to equalize pressure. I immediately got a earache bc I believe I blew too hard and still didn t pop. Today I woke up with a ringing in my right ear, I blew out of my ear lightly and ringing got worse. I took a nap when I woke up I hear a robotic small echo in my right ear!! So weird. Please advise and help:-)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that your have an ear infection. This would cause ringing or other abnormal noises in the ear, ear pain and abnormal hearing.

This can be ruled out by a visit to your doctor, who would take look checking for redness, discharge, intact typmanic membrane (ear drum). If an infection is present, you can be started on either oral or topical antibiotics.

I hope this helps
