What Causes Tiny Blisters On Upper And Lower Vermilion?
What I have are tiny pin-head dots, they appear white in color, like clogged pores, maybe? They are located on my upper and lower vermillion. I do not have an STD and I am not sick in any way that I am aware of. They have been present for a year. Facts: I am a 48 yr old woman I keep good daily hygiene, body weight and muscle tone is on target 5'6" 125lbs Eat really healthy home-cooked meals Don't believe it is stress related 90% of the time I stay away from unhealthy gluten, I am sensitive to it and dairy I typically drink soy, tea (organic & decaf) and water and eat organic, 75% of foods are in the super food category Thank you for your time and effort
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain tiny pinhead blisters over the upper and lower vermilion borders of lips that do not cause any discomfort and also there is no sign of any sickness is indicating towards Fordyce's Spots that is not any pathology but are raised sebaceous glands/ oil glands which are present in abundance on skin and lips.. When they become slightly raised and elevated they can appear as pinhead like or small bumps over the lips.. They are not pathological or signs of any disease, therefore does not need treatment..They need to be removed only in case if they are cosmetically unsighty.. In that case lazers can be used for removal.. You can however have a clinical evaluation done by a Dermatologist or an Oral Physician or confirmation by clinical examination..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
