What Causes Tiredness And Body Aches?

My 42 yr old daughter has been in bed since Friday with extreme exhaustion and body aches she says seem like it s her bones that hurt. No cold or flu symptoms. Friday she had a Lyme test. Got results--Negative. Not like her to stay in bed and so tired. She has four children.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Extreme exhaustion and body aches are most probably due to viral infection.
Lyme's disease is a bacterial infection which can lead to body aches and weakness, however, a negative test rules out Lyme's disease.
Rest is required is such a situation.
Viral infection persists for at least one week, so rest for one week will be required.
In addition, nutrition and hydration needs to be maintained.
fever may rise so anti-pyretic and cold sponging will help.
If the symptoms do not alleviate in one week then you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and to look for another cause of symptoms.

Thanks and take care
