What Causes Tiredness And Dizziness After Unprotected Intercourse?

My period finished last Tuesday. Last Thursday night I had unprotected sex due to starting a new pill too late. Since then I had felt tired, urinated 15+ times a day, have a possible uti, felt dizzy. I have tested my cervix as this is day 6 past intercourse and it is very high, soft and had a small amount of blood around it. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Typically women do not ovulate that soon after their period (ovulation happens approximately 14 days before the start of the next period). Also, it would be too early to have urinary symptoms from pregnancy at this point.

Likely you have a urinary tract infection. I recommend you go in to have a urine specimen done for "dipstick" urine test, and urine culture if indicated by the dip-urine test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
