What Causes Tiredness And Violent Shaking After Taking Labetalol?

My husband is taking labetalol, 100 mg twice a day. For the past two mornings, he has had shakiness and extreme tiredness about 60 to 90 minutes after taking it. Should he try taking it at a different time of day. He s taking it at the same time he takes 4 mg of glimepiride and his Plavix.

Hello,

Labetalol is known to cause tiredness, and low blood pressure, which may be related to the shakiness as well.

You could try taking it at another time, since if the glimepiride is making the blood sugar too low, this may be contributing to these symptoms as well.

Otherwise, you may need to talk with his doctor about switching to another medication if possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
