What Causes Tiredness, Breathlessness And Headaches In Otherwise Healthy Person?

I am 188cm tall and 76kg. I am 27years old and never been seriously ill. My lifestyle is pretty active; I am a teacher and exercise at least twice a week, however for a very long time I have not been able to improve my fitness levels. I get stitches after running for 10 minutes even if I thoroughly warm up and I feel tired and out of breathe. I have suffered from headaches, as did my mother, since a child. I now get them 3 or 4 times a month differing in serverity. They usually start if I only get 7 hours sleep or I don't drink enough (say 1 1/2 litres in a day as appose to 2 ). I was just wondering how normal this is. Thank you for your help

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Tiredness, breathlessness and headache in young (27 years) individual can be due to hypertension, other heart diseases and asthma.. So better to consult cardiologist and get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg and 2d echo.
Consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for major heart and lung related diseases.
Sometimes, undiagnosed stress and anxiety can cause similar symptoms.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on it's solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
