What Causes Tiredness, Joints Pain Along With Shivering And Elevated ESR Levels?
i m 28 years old mother of three children of 8,5,1 age. when my last pregnancy time, i was feeling very tired and become fatty on look. As per blood test, the ESR was nearly 50 and it is gradually reduced by medicine. recently again i am experiencing the same problem with more strong symptoms such as tiredness, joint pain, shivering etc....again checked ESR which is now in same stage as before. nowadays i am scared little bit as i heard one of my neighbor had high ESR and it is later diagnosed as cancer and died recently. How i can reduce this ESR by regulating my foods or other activities. what may be the reason of this high ESR as per my symptoms?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Excessive lethargy, pain, tiredness along with increased ESR is present in tuberculosis, autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus, fibromyalgia, and very rarely in cancer. I will suggest you to not to panic, and consult a physician for proper examination, investigations to rule out the above conditions and get appropriate treatment timely. No food habits or medicines can decrease the ESR levels. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
