Hello dear,

Since your mother is a known diabetic, the symptoms can be attributed to either poor glycemic control or electrolyte imbalance in the body.
If the blood glucose is not kept under control, then the body starts utilizing the lipid & proteins stored in the body tissues, resulting in weakness, tiredness & other symptoms.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by adequate control of blood glucose level along with intake of nervigenic agents (like Vit B6, B12, Folic acid) & multivitamin & mineral supplementation.

Investigations like complete blood count, serum electrolyte assay, estimation of blood pressure and blood sugar levels & Ultrasound scan of abdomen will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, your mother will be fine.
Meanwhile, make sure that she maintains adequate hydration, takes a healthy balanced diet & avoids stress.

Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
