What Causes To Lose The Sense Of Taste On Tongue?

Hello and thank you. I have slowly been losing the taste on my tongue. I, now, prefer, to eat saltier and spicier meals. Some items, such as dairy (milk, yogurt, etc.),taste spoiled or rotten. I do not smoke nor do I eat salty foods, as they give me dry mouth and other health reasons, such as high blood pressure. What could be causing this unique condition, as I love to eat and now, I begin to wonder what things will taste like??

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
I think this could be a B12 deficinecy. You need to get the b12 levels done. Also get a complete blood count done.
The most common pure taste disorder is a phantom taste sensation; this is the perception of a "bad taste in the mouth" that does not go away. Taking certain medications can also interfere with the ability to taste. Some loss of taste sensation also occurs during the normal aging process.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
