What Causes Toes Tingling Sensations After An Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injection?

I am a 38 year old female who was disagnosed with a herniated disc L4/5 and a buldging disc L4. I was in a car accident 2 months ago and have undergone physical therapy. I even had an EMG which resulted in everything being ok. A week ago i had an Lumbar Epidural Steriod Injection done. The pain in my left leg is gone however the day after receiving the injection i being feeling a pin and needle sensation underneath my third and fourth toe on my left foot. I only feel the sensation when my socks and shoes are off. Please tell me what this could be?
