I have had terrible tooth pain on the right side my teeth are fine confirmed by the dentist, eye problems and pain and ear pain that is behind my ear and neck and temple. This had been going on for 3 years and is gotten 20 times worse. I have been on 2 rounds of antibiotics some relief but not any better. I need to find some answers because it is affecting my sleep and I feel run down and in constant pain.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain it seems that pain in teeth on right side along with pain behind the eye and pain in ear, neck and temple is indicating towards either sinus infection or nerve related problem like Trigeminal Neuralgia..

In case of sinus infection many a times there is pain in temple and behind the eye due to presence of large sinuses in that area..

In case of Trigeminal Neuralgia as the Trigeminal nerve supplies the face, therefore, there is pain on the side of face where there is some disturbances associated with nerve function like nerve compression by any major artery, Multiple sclerosis, tumour compressing the nerve, physical trauma etc..

You should consult an ENT Expert or a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like X-Ray or MRI Scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of sinus infection, you can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..

In case of Trigeminal neuralgia the common drugs given to relieve neurotic pain are Carbamazipine that is the first line drug while others like Gabapaentin, baclofen, oxycarbazipine etc but in case if the pain does not subside then a detailed evaluation and tests like MRI SCAN can be done to rule out the underlying cause and treatment of the same can relieve..

If there is any artery impinging the nerve Microvascular decompression in which the compression over the artery is surgically removed is done..
Other procedures like Balloon decompression, gama knife radiosurgery, glycerol injection etc can be done to relieve pain..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
