Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention are clearly indicating condition 'acid reflux' . It is probably not related to tongue or oral cavity . The
constipation problem is also result of acidity . Sometimes acid reflux do not give prominent symptoms like heart burn.
I would suggest you to :-
- Eat small meals .
- Avoid eating spicy and heavy food ( fatty and sugary food).
- Eat at least one hour before goind to bed .
- Take light walk after every meal for at least 15 minutes .
- Take over the counter antacid to neutralize acid (gelusil).
Consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis to rule out causes like
gum disease (gingivitis) . Doctor may order endoscopy , X-ray of upper digestive system and test to monitor PH of digestive systen .
Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers like ranitidine ,
proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole and laxative like sodium picosulfate .
If there is Gum disease then
consult dentist for oral prophylaxis (scaling) .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
