What Causes Travelling Muscle Pain At Random Places In Body?

I am a 62 year old female. I have travelling muscle pain/weakness. In other words, one day I will pick up my hair brush for instance and the pressure in the palm of my hand was so great, I put the brush down. Another day a will lean on my elbow and there it is - that same clamping up or pain. Today it s one of my feet ...it certainly gets around...Had surgery for a fractured tibial plateau two years ago and all that was necessary to get the rod and pins in that leg...but that was two years ago... Thank you, YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Traveling muscle pain and weakness can be caused by various factors, some of which include:
* Fibromyalgia: This is a chronic condition that causes widespread pain, tenderness, and fatigue throughout the body.
* Peripheral neuropathy: This is a condition that occurs when there is damage to the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord, causing symptoms such as pain, tingling, and weakness in the affected area.
* Multiple sclerosis (MS): This is a condition that affects the central nervous system, causing a range of symptoms such as muscle weakness, tremors, and difficulty with coordination and balance.
* Vitamin deficiencies: Deficiencies in vitamins such as B12, D, and E can cause muscle weakness and pain.
* Rheumatoid arthritis: This is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in the joints, which can lead to pain and stiffness in the affected area.

It is important to see a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause of the symptoms and to receive appropriate treatment. Treatment may include medications, physical therapy, or lifestyle changes, depending on the cause of the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
