What Causes Tremor In The Left Hand?

Hi I am Tan. 57 yrs old. chinese. At 52 i hv my left hand tremor. I went to see Neurologist .he diagnosed me with Parkinson s disease. he then asked me to take 2 kinds of medicines. SIFROL Extended-release 1.5mg ( 2 tablets per day) Benzhexol 2mg ( 1 tablet. twice daily ) until today. my hand tremor is gone. the medicines is effective. also no other symptoms appear. i read a lot on internet saying there are many wrong-diagnose cases by Dr on Parkinson s. after so many years on medication. i dont know whether am I wrongly treated. many times i thought of stop taking the 2 medicines and see what is the outcome. i might not have Parkinson s. so it is wise i stop. I hereby appreciate your time to answer my question. thank you very much. Tan Malaysia +0000

Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomforts

As per your history is concerned let me clarify your doubts first-:

1)Now you are 57 years old and 5 years ago you had hand tremor and doctor diagnosed you as Parkinson disease, in this disease the main clinical sign is resting tremor in hand or fingers, slowed movement, muscle stiffness, balance problem, loss of automatic movements, speech problems, writing problem etc so check which problem you had 5 years ago?

2)This disease is diagnosed by physical examination only so i think he may have done right diagnosis

3)If you have any doubt you can share his past reports.

4)Eat B vitamin-rich foods like whole grains, egg yolks, peas, beans, leafy green vegetables, dairy products (organic milk and cheeses) and poultry. At the same time, stay away from processed foods as they very minimal or almost no nutritional value.

Hope that helps
