What Causes Tremors After Taking Mirtazapine And Nortriptyline?

My wife is bipolar with stage 5 kidney disease. is on 50mg nortriptyline and 30 mg mirtazapine with lorazepam for anxiety. . But is confused and odd thinking. She was on Depakote and was doing good but taken off of it because of tremors. I would like to go back to it because nothing else has worked. how should we restart it. slowly or at 750mg I saw and is it ok with the other drugs. she used to be on 500mg in the am and 500mg pm. thanks Alan

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Ok, first of all, two different anti-depressants is a bit strange. If someone has tremors while on several different drugs, then most likely it is not the drugs, cannot say in your particular case, but generally.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
