What Causes Tremors In The Arms And Palpitations While On Geodon?

16 year old female patient has been administered 40 mg of Geodon @ bedtime and is experiencing tremors in both arm limbs, increased heart rate and AM irritability since initial dosage 4 days ago. Why is the doctor increasing the dosage if these apparent systems are visible?

Suggestive of its side effects. Geodon (Ziprasidone) is an antipsychotic drug used for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It can cause tremors as one of its side effects. Since, it seems to involve both arm limbs, causing increased heart rate and irritability. She should consult her doctor to modify the medication plan, dosage or timing.
