General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The shaking hands when he is raising his hands to eat might be the first symptom for possible neurological problems like M.Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis or dystonia taking into account his age (83 years old) and his recent history of open heart surgery.

Should consult further with a neurologist and run a few neurological tests to determine the right diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
