I fall contually and though I thought it was my disability. which is my lower back, sciatic, I was born with out a L4. on 1 of my falls I shattered my L3 which was cemented. I have sciatic issues. my walk is slow NOW I SPECIFICALLY SAID I AM ON DISABILITY AND I AM EVEN BELOW WELFARE LIMITS, WHEN I WORKED 2-3 JOBS MY WHOLE LIDW FROM AGE 7and looks like I could possibly have been drinking. all of a sudden I find myself going to a side usually my left. my L3 was totally redone with cement, I woke up in the middle and pain was out of this world. the x=ray technicians were in awe in how they basically made me a new L3. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Well, there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in queries like the signs of nerve damage, repetitive stress, injuries, bacterial or viral infections, toxic exposures, and systemic diseases such as diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. There can be other reasons also like nerve entrapment, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve palsy, hormonal imbalances and vitamin deficiencies (vitamin B1).

I would suggest you consult an orthopedic surgeon for proper examination. The doctor may order a CT scan, ask for certain movements and complete blood tests. The doctor may prescribe muscle relaxants, recommend physical therapy of arm and hand along with stretching exercises and recommend particular stretching exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
