Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Did your measure your blood pressure during this episode?

An orthostatic hypotension could be related to this symptomatology.

A cardiac arrhythmia can not be excluded too.

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination, a resting ECG, a chest x ray and some blood lab tests:

-complete blood count
-fasting glucose (for possible hypoglycemia)
- thyroid hormone levels
- blood electrolytes
- kidney and liver function tests.

A head up tilt test for orthostatic hypotension and an ambulatory 24-48 hour ECG monitoring for possible cardiac arrhythmia are needed.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best regards,

Dr. Iliri
