What Causes Tremors In The Knees?

I ve had a couple of sudden shaking of the knees so strong I can barely walk. Usually I had been walking around just before that like grocery shopping, started to get a little hungry, then before I can get some food fixed my knees shake, legs shake, and even my arms tremble from the shock of shaking. I eat, rest, all is normal again. I am 87 years old on heart medicines.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You may want to consider whether the issue is local (meaning related to the knees themselves eg arthritis or the muscles in the area) or whether it is due to a generalized problem such as anaemia, low blood sugar or low blood pressure.

If it repeats, then you may need to be assessed to determine the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
