Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tremors In The Left Hand While On Crestor And Ramipril?
I m a white male aged 63. Good health but over weight, taking low dose Crestor and Ramapril. For the last 15 years I have had a tremor starting in my left hand and now it has appeared in my right hand starting about 1 year ago. My doctor, GP, said he didn t see anything sinister after a cursory office exam this week. Also when I explained to him the progression over the years and my difficulty holding and drinking a cup of coffee now without visibly shaking he indicated that it would be something to watch and would order tests as the next step. My father had essential tremor too.
Based on your history , having a tremor in left and after in right hand for a long time I think could be related to a neurologic pathology and not to Crestor and Ramipril side effects. So, I suggest to meet a neurologist in order to do some examinations and to define better the diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Feel free to ask me further.
