Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed my right hand shaking a bit after working in the backyard, thought it might b cause I haven t eaten so I ate, picked up kids from school etc n then my daughter noticed it shaking that night. I ve noticed it slightly today. I did get a blow to the elbow 12 weeks ago from a baseball n it gets sore ever no n then. What might b causing the shakes. (Don t do drugs, social drinker, don t smoke)
Some of the common reasons of tremor of the hand are: • Parkinson disease • Essential tremor -- a neurological disorder. People with essential tremor experience frequent shaking. The shaking can’t be controlled. • Medication side effects • Caffeine overdose • Anxiety • Low blood sugar
So is necessary a neurological examination and some tests beginning with a blood test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
