What Causes Tremors In The Right Hand?

i am 35 yo and have always had a slight tremor, primarily in my R hand. It used to only occur when I would be moving my hand towards my mouth, ie putting a fork or chip to my mouth. Over the last year or so, I have noticed the tremor occurs at rest. Do i need to be concerned about parkinsons

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
The tremor in your right hand while you move your hand to mouth ( to eat )- seems to be due to nerve irritation at elbow joint being stretched to raise the hand up.The tremors at the rest seems to be due to neuritis( inflammation) of the nerve( making it sore & the muscles supplied get over stimulated to cause it. It can be managed well by medicines, physiotherapy,
relieving the pressure.
Parkinson's is mostly a disorder of elder ones.( very less in young age). You can get evaluated to satisfy yourself in case you have family history.
Thanks
