On my face and neck, I have deep tunneling areas of ulcers/abscesses. (I am 75 years old. They start as a white tough area about the size of a match head that appears to be a pimple. When this area is opened, bloody material flows out, with thick clots. There are little white fatty looking areas about the size of half of a rice kernel surrounding the area inside the cavity. My dermatologist tells me to let it heal on it s own and dont pick at it. However, left to heal, it spreads, creating larger sore areas under the skin. Is there an X-Ray or other procedure that could show the extent of the problem - under the skin, prior to treatment?
