What Causes Twinge On Left Side Of Body While Being A Active Smoker?

my doctor referred me for an xray and mentioned crackling when he examined me with a stetescope . I went to see him as I have had a twinge on my left side for a while now. I am not short of breath, exercise regularly and am a near 65 year old male. I smoked cigarettes from 16 to about 24 and then smoked a pipe until I was about 51. I haven t smoked since

You have Emphysema and possibly Chronic bronchitis. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. Please explain what kind of twinge you have and when does it occur.
