What Causes Twitching In Arm And Leg While Sleeping?

my husband is 65 years old and in good general health but I noticed that when he is asleep his left side of his extremedies.hand arm and leg has a twich strong enough to shake the bed this goes on about every 45 seconds and when he is on a deep sleep it stops.

Hi,

It might be due to peripheral neuropathy or electrolyte imbalances. You need to visit your clinician for evaluation and investigations including serum calcium, phosphorus, vitamin B12, hemoglobin, sugar and thyroid levels. You might need a neurological examination and nerve conduction study.
