What Causes Twitching In Finger And Toes?

Once every couple of weeks either my toe,index finger and thumb just starts twitching..id have my hand flat on the table and my finger would start tapping slightly on its own..Im thinking its nothing but i thought id just make sure while im on..thankyou :)
