What Causes Twitching In Lower Lid Of Eye?

Hi..I am a female 39 yrs of age. I have been experiencing eye twitching in the lower lid of my right eye and an ongoing headache that increases to migraine levels at times for approximately 3 weeks now. The headache never totally disappates and the eye twitching is intermittent. I have been to an eye Dr who advised there is nothing wrong with my eyes. I was prescribed an eye drop for allergies and told that was what was causing the twitching . The drops have had no affect.
