What Causes Twitching Neck Vein?

Hello Doc. My name is Luisa. My husband has been a heavy drinker most of his life . In his youth he could drink anyone under the table, but lately He is already under the influence with his 3rd glass. It changes him into an aggresive behaviour, becomes rude and LOUD. He may not drink for 4-5 days but then binges on the weekend. He finds it difficult to make decisions- gets foggy and dull- forgets things- but also becomes silly and embarrasing. The other day he was stopped at a red light (fortunately) and says he fainted for a few seconds (blacked out or something) came to, and kept driving home. This has been followed by a few days of fatigue where he complains he is exhausted. He is the kind of guy who WILL NOT SEE A DOCTOR unless he thinks he is dying. (Only wimps go to medicos). Is completely cynical regarding natural therapies, and even though he acknowledges he should stop drinking he cant help himself. He does walk every morning for about 8 kilometres, even though it tires him out. He has always been of excellant health so this is now worrying me.My question to you today re blackout and fatigue. Is it perhaps cirosis of the liver. I have noticed that a nerve vein on the right side of his neck is constantly flicking. Is it hypertension? He has been depressed and anxious and stressed for a long time- but is in denial about it and wont go to see anyone for help. Don,t know what to do with him. Can you advise me please? Thankyou
