What Causes Twitching Of Muscles In Uterus?

I am having twitchy muscle jumps in my uterus. I have not had a regular period since November, at which time I had a Depo-Provera shot (which was never repeated). I am definitely not pregnant. WHat is this twitching??? It's not painful, but extremely distracting.
