What Causes Twitching Sensation Around The Eyes?

I am 47 year old female and about 8 months ago, I started getting twitching around my eye/eyelid and later around lips on left side of my face. I went to 3 different doctors and they all said it was stress and anxiety. My blood pressure was high so they got me started on medication- supposedly, that would help. Medication did help my blood pressure, but the spasms come and go. I have good days and bad, but now when I gets spasms, it feels like my left side of face is going to paralyze and I feel palpitations on left side of neck. I have gone to ER and they say it s anxiety. I am scared to leave the house now...I feel helpless.
