It did stop for about an hour and has stopped off and on and stops when I am moving but resumes when I am standing or sitting. It does not hurt but i can feel it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Such muscle twitchings suggests
1.calcium &vitamin D defeciency with over exertion of the muscles concerned OR nerve irritation of those supplying affected muscles .This can happen due to vertebral/disc problem at lumber spine.
Diagnosis would be by blood counts, blood calcium&vitamin D levels / X-ray of lumber spine ... to be followed by specific treatment .(calcium, vitamin D supliments/physiotherapy with vitamin B12 supliment.
Please consult a neurophysician.
Thanks.
