What Causes Unconsciousness When I Become Emotional?

Hi Dr. I have had seizures for 5yrs now & don't know what type... (I am 33yrs, female, 195lbs, 5'5", Epileptic) it seems that when I become emotional I lose consciousness and have a grand mal, when I regain consciousness I have to be told what happened, because I remember/feel nothing (except a bite up tongue) its frustrating because the drs. can't find anything abnormal about me, they've checked everything but my heart.... can that be it?
