What Causes Uncontrollable Crying And Chest Infection?

I have been crying non stop for the last few days over fears of my little boy growing up. He is 10 and I am dreading the teenage stage do much that it s all consuming. I had been off work for a few days with a chest infection & I have noticed that when I have more than a few days off at a time my mind goes into overdrive & it also happened last year. I am a single parent as his dad died when he was 3 weeks old so I m doing it on my own and find it silly discussing the worries of the years to come with friends. I want to enjoy the precious years with him. Do I need to talk to my doctor again?

Hello,

You are suffering from chest infection, it commonly occurs due to stress, allergy, cold, infection, etc. It is often triggered by asthma or smoking. You are worried for your son aged 10 and are crying uncontrollably. Grief or depression that remains unexpressed may make you feel sad and hopeless, leaving you crying seemingly out of nowhere. You are a strong mom but do not hesitate to be expressive. When you express yourself it lightens your heart, grief, anxiety and depression. Do not keep everything within. Do not bother what the world thinks. Stand bold for yourself and your child.

Anxiety may trigger your feelings of intense worry, panic, fear in anticipation of a perceived danger, and is often accompanied by other physical and cognitive symptoms. Certain people suffering from anxiety may feel overwhelmed and more likely to cry over seemingly mundane things. It can be brain issue sometimes. If you are crying for no reason and that is interfering with your regular activities, don’t hesitate to seek help. If you think your expressions of emotion are out of the norm or excessive, you should speak to a medical or mental health professional.

If it is only happening sometimes, then you should engage yourself in healthy activities like regular walking, regular hygiene maintenance, switching to healthy food. Doing activities that you have neglected & they were your hobby like singing, dancing, embroidery, reading playing music, making new friends, etc. It will help to lead a more cheerful and content life. Treatments for depression, anxiety disorders, and other mental health conditions may include therapy, neurotherapeutics, support groups, complementary therapies, including mindfulness and exercise.

Get clinically examined by a GP / Counsellor to rule out any developing PMDD and Premenstrual dysphoric disorder, Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA). Neurological disease can also cause crying for no reason. People with bipolar disorder have extreme highs and lows and unpredictable mood swings may bring outbursts of emotion, including crying. Your history will be taken, problem will be diagnosed and treatment if needed will be started at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
