What Causes Uncontrollable Itching Sensation On The Shoulders?

Shoulders get extremely hot which causes me to scratch uncontrollably. Tried hydrocortisone and an OTC spray. Nothing seems to help. Feels like needles stabbing my shoulders multiple times a day. Looking for relief. Please reply with any suggestions

Hi.
As per your case history of itching on shoulders, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
