What Causes Uncontrollable Shivers?

For the last 2 nights I have woken at 2am having uncontrollable shivers. When I then get up in the morning at 7am I feel nauseous and faint -blood pressure of 103/77 with pulse 82?!?! I'm a 43 year old female on thyroxine. What's causing the symptoms and do I need to go to a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The reason for the shivers at the same time of the day, and repeating, must be the malaria fever. But you must have the heat and fever after the shivering.
The other reasons may be the urinary tract infection, throat infection, or filarial fever.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to have blood and urine tests for diagnosis.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods,to have good health, recovery, and resistance.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
