What Causes Uneasy/weakness After Waking Up From Sleep?

Why am I always groggy on waking? I keep falling back asleep, and can't get out of bed. I am not tired once I get up so must be getting enough sleep. I am female, 56 years of age, 9 stones, quite fit and otherwise healthy, and have always had this problem but it is getting worse.

Hello
Important thing to rule out in your case would be sleep apnea.
This can cause sleepiness in daytime. A sleep-eeg would help to rule out this problem.

Anyhow, drugs like modafinil(prescription drugs) which are psychostimulants will help you to stay alert in daytime.

Hope this helps.
