What Causes Unexplained Weight Loss, Abdominal Distension And Lower Back Pain?
My girlfriend is 67y/o, still has her uterus, tubes, and ovaries. She s c/o weight loss this summer even though she s not trying. The past week she s also c/o abdominal distention and low back pain unrelieved by Ibuprofen or Percocet. She hasn t been to a Gynecologist for years. What do you recommend? No history of cancer with her or her family that I know. Only history is Depression. She s a non-smoker.

There are 2 main reasons for her weight loss:
1. any internal organ problems. Should investigate on this. Good idea to start with gynecologist.
2. Aggravation of her depression. But first should rule out organic issues.
