What Causes Unsteady Gait And Numbness In Fingers?

Hi. My boyfriends walking has been unsteady. he has pain in his knees, also he gets bumps on his hairline and numbness in his fingers and lips after sun exposure. Multiple sclerosis has been ruled out and all of the doctors have been telling him there is nothing wrong. Any answers here?
