Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm kind of concerned about my heartbeats. whenever i drink, or eat, or breathe deeply, my heart rate increases. it kinda wobbles, with 3 fast beats and then it goes back to normal. I'm not sure if it's my weight, since i'm overweight and have to get in shape as soon as possible. thank you for your help
Hi, Certainly heart rate or heart beats are influenced by what we eat, or the environment we live in, medically termed as Environmentally triggered arrhythmias. It is common, and often benign. I would advice you meet a Cardiologist, preferable an electrophysiologist, to look into the trouble. He will have some EKGs done, if needed a 24 hours rhythm monitoring. If everything comes normal, you are well to forget about this extra beat. If there is any problem in reports, he would advice an EPS, to further evaluate your heart rhythm problem and treat it fully.
Feel free to contact me, if further querries. Possibly plan a diet and exercise plan to cut those extra weight.
Regards
