What Causes Unusual Bright Red Vaginal Bleeding When On Mirena?

Hi. I have had a mirena iud for over 12 years. Would only get a small amount of brown mucus discharge once a month if that. Standing at the kitchen bench today I suddenly thought I was wetting my pants but on running to the bathroom I discovered I had bright red bleeding. It was dripping into the toilet. Seem to be settling. I checked & the iud is still in place. I have no stomach cramps if discomfort. Any idea of what might be happening?

Well come to HCM
Such symptoms of brown discharge may be due to IUD if this is there then this would be the first possibility that can be thought at very first and this need to be check out for anything went wrong, and this need to be treated accordingly with the right treatment this would be fine soon, take care.
