What Causes Unusual Intermittent Stabbing Pain In Left Big Toe?

Almost daily at no specific time, or what I have done, my left big toe starts to hurt. It is a severe stabbing type pain, that goes almost as quickly as it starts. I have been checked for gout, my numbers are within the normal range but on the high end. I try to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice, and avoid a lot of protein each day. Any suggestions as to what it is and/or what I need to do. thanks, Ellen

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, small joint arthritis could be the condition and there is no restriction on any diet if this is not the gout, you can have the balance diet hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
