What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain After Gallbladder Removal Surgery?

I have been having spasm that last any where from 5-15 min on my upper right abdomen. Thought the pain was from gallbladder, had my gallbladder removed but still having the pain. A recent CT showed only cysts on left kidney, a nodule on my right lung (I have another ct scheduled to follow up on lungs) but nothing else. I am always sore on my right side and can almost feel things moving at times. Gallstones, kidney stones have been ruled out. I am not sure what else to look for and my surgeon has me scheduled with a GI on May 28th. In your opinion are we going the right direction with a GI and what in your opinion is it? Thank you Erica

hello,
you seem to be suffering from post cholecystectomy(removal of gall bladder) syndrome after removal of your gall bladder this condition usually occur due to loss of reservoir function of the gallbladder so the bile continuously drain into bowel which cause gastritis and esophagitis ,and some time loss stool and colicky abdominal pain
GI you mention in your question, i think you want to say upper GI endoscopy which you have scheduled on may 28th ,this investigation will help doctor to diagnose above said problem that is gastritis and esophagitis and proceed to treatment
I find this answer helpful
