What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain Along With Mild Temperature And Nausea?
My son is having upper and left sided abdominal pain. He ran started running 100.7 temp about two hours ago. He said the pain is worse when he lays down. He s having some nausea. Has not vomited. He does have some rebound pain in the lower quadrant. What could this be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son is having symptoms of upper abdominal pain along with mild temperature and nausea which is most probably due to all of the changes taking place in your body such as electrolyte imbalance. It seems to be due to poor metabolism of body and due to underlying systemic causes. Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids and you should eat cold food instead of hot. I would suggest you to get up slowly and do not lie down right after eating , eat small meals or snacks often, try not to skip meals. If condition doesn't get better in 2-3 days the consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug along with antibiotics .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
