What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain While Undergoing Chemotherapy?

My wife is under chemotherapy (Cisplatin and gemzar). Her upper abdominal pain is about an 8 on a scale from 1-10. Her CT scans look OK (her tumors are getting smaller (liver). Her CA19-9 is now normal - but her pain is getting worse. Can you explain?

HI. Sorry to know about the problem your wife is facing and being treated for.
The chemotherapy- Cisplatin and Gemzar can cause severe gastritis to cause the type of pain she is facing.
PPI, Metclopropamide antacid , soft bland diet my help her to get a relief from the pain .
