What Causes Upper Body Weakness And Dull Aches In The Arms And Neck?

I have been feeling very weak in my upper body over the last few months. I struggle to open jars and lift anything heavy. I have a dull ache in my arms and neck most days. I m generally feeling very weak in my upper body only. Kind regards Ceri Brueton

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should first rule out motor neuron disease (MND) in your case.
Opening of jar and lifting objects requires fine and gross motor movements.
So difficulty in executing these is seen with MND.
So consult neurologist and get done clinical examination, MRI brain and EMG (electro myelography) NCV (nerve conduction velocity) study.
If all these are normal then no need to worry much.
Eat healthy and stay fit. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
