What Causes Upper Calf Muscle Pain After Running A Half Marathon?

I finished a half marathon last Sunday. I was feeling fine until Thurs, noticed significant upper calf muscle pain esp left side. I stopped the pre run Epsom salt baths and daily banana after the run. Maybe stopped too soon. I was a little concerned of a blood clot on the left but prob just post run soreness? I'm 61.
