What Causes Upper Right Side Abdominal Pain Radiating Towards Back?

Hi! I m 19 years old and have been experiencing upper right side abdominal pain that radiates to my back. It started on Saturday at 4 am and has been like this since then, but the severity of the pain changes throughout the day. When it is really bad I can t move much and it helps if I use a heat pack. It s super painful and has been hindering me from some of my daily activities.

Right side back or abdomen pain is generally found in liver or gallbladder diseases.
But there are a lot of organs in abdomen that may cause similar pain and symptoms such as:
- Liver inflammation
- Gallbladder inflammation or stones
- Gastritis or Peptic ulcers
- Pancreatitis
- Urinary tract infections or Kidney stones

So to determine the real cause of your concerns I would recommend you a couple of tests like:
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Complete blood count, Bilirubin, liver enzymes
- Urine blood count.
