What Causes Upper Right Sided Abdominal Pain?

I have been having a pain in the upper right side by ribs.. My liver enzymes are normal but I am still feeling discomfort. My dr says I must have pulled something, I dont think that this is true. I have been a drinker for years too so I am concerned
